How a piece comes to life
Every stage calls for time, attention, and a little fire.
- Shaping The clay is shaped by hand.
- Drying & first firing The clay dries, then goes through its first firing to become strong.
- Painting & glazing The piece is brush-painted and coated with glaze.
- Glaze firing The glaze melts into a smooth, glossy surface.
